"Life and Love"
Maestro Jeffery Meyer, Guest Conductor
Alexander Russakovsky, Guest Soloist, Cello

Program:
Dvorák: Carnival Overture
Bruch: Kol Nidrei
Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 4

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Maestro Jeffery Meyer will lead the MSO in an evening of music that will stir your passionate soul.  Music historians are mixed, but there remains some consensus that the beautiful second movement of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 is a lament to the loves lost during his lifetime.  Regardless, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 is sure to tap the romantic in everyone.  Maestro Meyer and the MSO will also perform Dvorák’s Carnival Overture considered to be the second part of his Nature, Life, and Love Trilogy, and Bruch’s Kol Nidrei (All Vows) featuring the MSO’s Principal Cellist Alexander Russakovsky.  All of these great and beautiful works are musical sonnets to Life and Love.  You will be moved!
